AP Contables is a digital platform developed through the collaboration of two companies based in the Colombian Caribbean. The platform offers an innovative solution to the traditional accounting and financial management practices used by Colombian businesses. AP Contables is accessible through a web browser, making it easy for businesses to manage their finances from anywhere with an internet connection. The platform is designed to streamline accounting processes, increase efficiency, and provide valuable insights into a business's financial performance.

The target audience for the application includes individuals and businesses in the accounting and finance fields, as well as managers and other related disciplines. It was an exciting project to work on, as we aimed to create a modern and approachable brand that conveyed the app's benefits to its target audience. The brand launch event was a success, with positive feedback from attendees and media outlets.

Research

The research team attended various accounting and finance events and conducted interviews with attendees to gather information about how they perceive and recognize branding elements. They also made notes during discussions that took place at these events. The team then synthesized this information to identify several trends that were important for the brand design.

Based on the findings, it was discovered that people tend to recognize color schemes more quickly than symbols, and symbols more quickly than names.

However, people associate concepts more quickly with names than symbols, and with symbols more quickly than color schemes.

Additionally, white backgrounds were preferred for reading financial, administrative, and institutional information.

These trends were important for the design of the brand, as they helped to inform decisions about which elements should be emphasized and how they should be presented to users.

Work Process

The stakeholders of the project recognized the need to create a new application that could compete in the market for a long time. To achieve this goal, they wanted to install a new brand for the accounting community. As a result, the project required a graphic system that was durable and could adapt to future changes in the market.

The initial focus is on attracting users from the region where the companies operate, while also considering future expansion and growth opportunities. The brand's visual identity and messaging aim to appeal to this target audience and convey the benefits of using the application.

Approach

The brand identity was designed to be visually appealing, recognizable, and resonate with the target audience. The color scheme and visual style were chosen to align with current trends in the accounting and finance industry. The symbol was designed to be easily readable and stand out from competitors.
